PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has brought unity across the country as he is non-tribal and is holistic in terms of appointment to government positions, says Kapiri Mposhi District Commissioner (DC), Peter Mwiinde.

Mr Mwiinde said the Head of State was holistic and did not succumb to tribalism in his leadership because his duty was to unite the country.

The civic leader said he was an example of President Lungu's holistic leadership because despite coming from Southern province, he had been appointed DC for Kapiri Mposhi which is in Central province.

"Our President is holistic, he does not succumb to terrorism of tribalism because he wants to unite the country, I am from Southern Province but the Head of State has appointed me DC for Kapiri Mposhi which is in Central province and this proves that President Lungu is not tribal," said Mr Mwiinde.

The DC stated that President Lungu had not only delivered on his campaign promises but also on bringing unity across the country.

Mr Mwiinde further said Zambia was lucky to have a President whose aim was to unite his people and should therefore be supported.

Mr Mwiinde urged all political leaders to emulate President Lungu who had demonstrated that the duty of every leader was to unite the people by being non-tribal.

"All political leaders should emulate Preside Edgar Lungu in uniting the country by not being tribal as it is the duty of every leader to unite his people," said Mr Mwiinde.
