North West Pf Youths happy with the Removal of street Vendors

- By JACKSON MAPAPAYI

PATRIOTIC Front youths in North Western Province have expressed happiness with the removal of street vendors in all the districts in the province.

In a statement made available to the Daily Nation, provincial youth chairperson Amnion Hara said the move by government to remove street vendors is welcome especially that it is meant to curb the outbreak of cholera in the province.

Mr Hara said though the epidemic has not hit the province, the onus is on the people in the region to ensure that they adhere to government’s directive.

‘’As PF youths in the province, we are very happy with the stance government has taken to remove all street vendors from the streets. This is commendable and let the vendors also adhere to the directive because it is for their own benefit,’’ Mr Hara said.

He appealed to all the youths in the province to take a leading role in ensuring that the province remains clean not only on the streets but also in all public places.

He said government has provided vaccines to curb the furtherance outbreak of the disease and asuch youths need to be fully involved in the fight.

‘’As youths, let us join hands with the local authorities, district administrations and all security wings that have been given the authority in spearheading the program by keeping our surroundings clean and stopping street vending,’’ he added.

He said it is very uncalled for and shameful for opposition political leaders to start instigating vendors to go back to the streets adding that it only shows how visionless such leaders are.
