PF SG warns South DCs

….the way we brought you is the same way we will remove you if you are not helping the party- SG Mwila warns South DC

- By ANDREW MUKOMA PATRIOTIC

Front (SG) Secretary General Davis Mwila has taken a swipe at District Commissioners in Southern Province for failing to help the party grow and for underperformance.

Mr. Mwila has demanded that district commissioners in the province should explain to him why they should be kept in office after failing to impress the appointing authority and the general membership of the party.

According to Mr. Mwila, the Provincial Chairman’s report Lawrence Evans has clearly exposed and put the district commissioners on the spotlight concerning their performance and conduct. “I want to talk to the district commissioners on a very serious note. They should know that they were appointed by President Edgar Chagwa Lungu who is the PF party president,” he said. “If they are not helping the party, then they should know that their contracts are coming to the end in March and we will not fail to remove them because we have the capacity to remove them. The way we brought them is the same way we will remove them,” he said. Mr. Mwila said that going by the report submitted by the party provincial chairman Lawrence Evans, PF members in all the 12 district of southern province are complaining bitterly against the district commissioners over their failure to help the party.

“Our people are complaining that district commissioners are not helping the party, so they must explain to me starting from Musokotwane in Kazungula. Everywhere, they must explain to me. I saw in the report that all the DCs are not working, starting from Kazungula, Chikankata, Sinazongwe everywhere our people are complaining and they want to see a change,” said Mr. Mwila. “These are the people who are supposed to help the party because here in Southern province you have opposition MPs and councillors so the only office that PF has is the office of the district commissioner because they are appointed by the President. We need to empower our people,” he said.
