HH WANTS LUNGU OUT

...tells Katuba people not to be cowards

-

THERE is no guaran-tee that President Edgar Lungu would be in office upto 2021 because what happened in Zimbabwe can also happen in Zam-bia, United Party for Na-tional Development presi-dent Hakainde Hichilema says.

Speaking at a political rally held in Mungule area of Central Province at the weekend, Mr Hichilema told the people not to be cowards.

He charged that Zambi-ans should stop being cow-ards amidst suffering but must begin to take power in their hands and fight.

Mr Hichilema was in Mungule to tour selected farms that had been devas-tated by the drought.

Mr Hichilema, told the cheering crowd that politi-cal change was taking place everywhere and that Zam--

bia should not be exceptional.

He said the recent drought that affected parts of the country was due to poor PF policies which resulted in the drying up of crops in fields as no proper weather forecast had been made.

He said his government would buy sophisticated equipment to forecast weather a year in advance.

“Who told him that he will be there in 2021? What happened in Zimbabwe could happen here too. It is happening everywhere, there could be change anytime as it happened in Zimbabwe,” Mr Hichilema said.

The opposition president challenged the people of Mungule to stop taking the back seat accusing them of being cowards who sat home as they could not fight for the stolen votes in the 2016 general elections.

He accused the Zambian people of being afraid to fight for what he claimed were stolen votes that made him lose the elections.

“(President Lungu) He did not defeat (Mr Hichilema) HH, he stole the vote. He cannot claim he won. How can you win with stolen votes?

“Time to take over is very near,” he said.

He called on the people to step up and take back the power from those they voted into office.

“Don’t allow your vote to be stolen and you sit at your homes. Be brave. Be strong.

“It is all because of bad leadership and that must end now. You must stop being cowards,” he told the crowd.
