KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOUR PROJECT HAILED

- TROY MUKUPA Patrick Salubusa

ODear Editor, N Friday the 2nd of February, 2018 I had the privilege and an opportunity to attend the "Know Your Neighbour" project whose motto is "When you see something, say something", the brain initiative started by the area councillor, Mr. Patrick Salubusa.

The event was held near Lilanda's Kalukungu market whose guest of honour was the Lusaka mayor, Mr. Wilson Kalumba.

I was moved to see the young and old uniting to make the campaign a success.

It was also moving to see Top Zambian musician like James Chamanyazi, Bobby East, Kekero, Chiko Chali, Willy Jinx and the Topstar TV Company coming on board to contribute their abilities and capabilities to make the "Know Your Neighbour" campaign massage louder.

As a gesture to encourage the residents of Kapwepwe ward 25 to keep their surroundings clean, awards were given to the cleanest houses and schools.

They say, it takes collective knowledge to develop a nation. With the current cholera outbreak, it would have been more encouraging if the previous .... leadership [Former councillor Piyo and team] would have come on board to work hand in hand with the current leadership (Councillor Sabulusa and team) on this campaign as we curb the further spread of cholera.

The "Know You Neighbour" campaign should be hailed for its positivity and it is a campaign that should be spread to other areas.

Let other councillors pluck a leaf from this good, positive project.

And to the area councillor of kapwepwe and the team I say, congratulations on this positive move. keep up with your good works, we are following the "Know Your Neighbour" campaign proudly. As the motto puts it, when you see something, say something. I rest my thoughts.
