DC urges prayers for leaders

- By OLIVER SAMBOKO.

SIAVONGA district commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has urged civil servants and the Church in the nation to pray for government and political leaders so that God can give them wisdom.

He said name calling, insults and hate currently obtaining in the country calls for God’s intervention adding that the clergy and all Zambians must step in to offer prayers so that decency can return to the country.

“I urge civil servants and the people of Siavonga, and other surrounding districts to pray for our government and political leaders. Name calling, insults and hate in the country is just a sign that men and women of God must immediately step in,” said Mr. Kanyama.

Mr. Kanyama further called on all Zambians regardless of their affiliation to support the Government of the day and the President in running of the country saying criticism, hate and name calling against those in authority will not help Zambia to develop.

He said those calling the PF Government corrupt are not being fear because up to date no one has produced evidence to substantiate their claims. The President is on record encouraging individuals with corruption evidence to come forward but nobody has come forward. For me that’s the way to go.

The district commissioner further appealed to Siavonga residents and all well-meaning Zambians not to allow themselves to be incited to fight Government leaders.
