I WILL remain loyal to the President and will not take the route my former colleague, Chishimba Kambwili took after being relieved of his duties, former Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection Lloyd Kaziya has said.

Mr Kaziya, who is Matero constituency Member of Parliament was on Wednesday relieved of his duties as Cabinet minister by President Edgar Lungu.

But Mr Kaziya said that he respected the appointing authority’s decision to dismiss him and would still remain loyal to the President.

He reiterated that he would never take the route of insults against the Head of State as former minister of Information and Broadcasting Services, Mr Kambwili had taken when he was dismissed.

Mr Kaziya told the Daily Nation that he was more civilized than Kambwili to embark on a journey of attacking the President just because he had been fired.

The Matero constituency lawmaker said that he appreciated the opportunity President Lungu had accorded him and would remain loyal also to the party.

“I will remain loyal to the President and will not take the route my former colleague Kambwili had taken when he was fired. I am more civilized, I actually just thank the President for the opportunity he had given me,” he said.

Mr Kaziya also assured his constituents that he would continue performing at his best and would not disappoint them.
