PROVOCATIVE EMPTY OPPOSITION

- CONRAD MWEWA

Dear Editor,

THE one characteristic of our opposition is their myopic, provocative and empty rantings which make no sense apart from annoying normal thinking people.

You have Kambwili who is preaching impeachment because of an innocuous Bemba saying used by the President. What kind of nonsense is this and why should the Zambian people tolerate it?

You have another opposition leader who believes that his votes were stolen and yet he can clearly see that he has a very sectional tribal vote which is neither inclusive nor representative of the majority of the Zambian people.

But more importantly, he insist that his case is still in court when the highest court in the land, the Constitutional Court dismissed their action for their own procrastination.

This kind of opposition will not take the country anywhere and the sooner Zambians realise the emptiness of character and bareness of ideology that resides in these men and women who are aspiring for higher office in the country the better.

The time for politicking is over. This is time for development. Our people are not looking for cheap speeches but concrete movement to repair and build on the gains that the country has made since independence.

The government must remain focussed and not p-ay attention to the vile and repulsive language of such characters as Chishimba Kambwili who will never admit their failure to reason logically. He believes that stoning people is the best form of dialogue.

The Bembas have a saying that pa nsaka tapabula ichipuba.
