Wynter Kabimba spot on

Dear Editor,

Wynter Kabimba says: “Upholding radical philosophy that encouraged productivity were the best approaches for developing a country as it encouraged development to be initiated internally. My view: “Right mind of a true patriot with big brains in the head above the neck!!! You are right my big man; local solution and avoiding enslaving debts at maximum cost. Musa C Banda

Shame on you Pastor

Dear Editor,

Why should a Pastor borrow K80, 000 and refuse to pay back? Do we serve a poor God? Shame on you pastor, you are making God to whom all silver and gold belong to be a beggar. You must go to jail and learn to trust Him. Reagan C Ships

Lower rates on loans

Dear Editor,

Hopefully commercial banks will follow suit by reducing interest rates on loans because the Bank of Zambia has lowered the monetary policy rate by 50 basis points to 9.75 percent from 10.25 percent while the statutory reserve ratio has been reduced to 5 percent from 8 percent. Kasonde Nsofwa

IMF keep away from Zambia

Dear Editor,

You are right Mr Wynter Kabimba. We have already got our own IMF ( Local Monetary Fund) i.e the tollgates which can finance the shortfall in the budget and with the introduction of withholding taxes on rentals etc, we should be ok. Sure IMF should know that we are not desperate for their money. Kingstone Bwalya

Chilenje Hospital death trap

Dear Editor,

It is good that they are being sued for negligence because the midwives or nurses are so incompetent. They will wait until the situation gets out of hand and then ati transfer to UTH. Rhoda Bulaz Chansa

Forget public labour wards

Dear Editor,

The nurse neglected me as well. The ward wasn’t even busy. I kept calling for help. When I lost so much blood and started gasping for air that’s when she came and started to resuscitate me with a drink while shouting at me saying, “imwa, pema, imwa, pema, kukonda kubala naunkote pema, pema.” (Drink, breathe, drink, breathe, why do like having children when you are old, breathe, breathe.) I was 35 then but she kept shouting at me in that state. But by God’s grace I pulled through, though it took me months to fully recover from Low HB. Watchtower Rev Chongo
