OZZY, 2WICE LINK UP ON NEW SONG

- By TERENCE MISELO

ONE is known for controversy, social commentary and grievances while the other is known for dance hall and love- related anthems. That only is enough to suggest they cannot really combine on a song but music being the common language of communication, local artistes David Banda aka Ozzy and Callen Chisha famously called 2wice have linked up for a new single dubbed ' Insala nefiko'

translated as 'hunger and dirt'.

This single brings together the two artistes' diverse strength in their careers and makes one great combination to deliver the message which is in line with Ozzy's new album 'Voice of Zambia' where it features.

Ozzy's idea of featuring 2wice according to him was to give the song the right tone to help deliver the message.

"2wice is a unique artiste that delivers the message with a dedicated passion especially when you dealing with social issues. He was the right man for this task," says Ozzy admitting the success the song has showed.

Like the title suggest, the song which has two different versions, laments about the high levels of poverty in our nation. It recognizes the various struggles people are going through to earn a living such that the only thing remaining is ' hunger and dirt'. In its few weeks after the release, 'Insala nefiko' has already given direction on how successful Ozzy's album is likely to be.
