Speaking in Kitwe on Sunday during his farewell ceremony, Rev Banda said as a good Shepherd he would also continue spreading the word of God in uniting people.
Rev Banda, who has been transferred to Chililabombwe, thanked RCZ members and the entire leadership of the church for believing in him for the period he had served at Ndeke congregation.
And guest of honour at the event, Bwana Mkubwa MP Dr. Jonas Chanda commended the RCZ for being actively involved in providing education, health, farming inputs and social services through the various departments of the church in all the provinces of the country.
Dr Chanda noted that RCZ had a well coordinated youth and women ministry eager to enhance the living standards of young people and women spiritually, morally, financially to contribute effectively to the growth of the country.
“Over the years the government has worked with the church in steering national development in different areas of the economy.
The church and the government should remain great partners in human development for the benefit of both parties and the country,” said Dr Chanda.
