Effect citizen’s arrest on Lungu disparagers - Lusambo
EFFECT citizen’s arrest on persons found insulting President Edgar Lungu says Kabushi Member of Parliament (MP), Bowman Lusambo.
Speaking yesterday during the handover of two Nissan Elgrand vehicles to Kabushi Constituency Executive in for party mobilization, Mr Lusambo urged the community and party members in his constituency to remain vigilant and effect citizen arrest on persons found wanting insulting President Edgar Lungu.
And in an apparent reference to Roan MP Chishimba Kambwili, Mr Lusambo charged that PF members should not be fooled by Mr Kambwili to leave the ruling party and join the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Lusambo further charged that it was pointless for Mr Kambwili to persuade people to leave the ruling party which he had continued to cling on.
“The person persuading you to leave PF is enjoying and he wants you to leave the party that is ruling and to which he is clinging on.
It is foolishness of Mr Kambwili to ask PF members to leave and join NDC when he has refused to leave the party himself.
I want to state that Kabushi is no go area and I will not entertain any individual insulting the President,” warned Mr Lusambo who is also Copperbelt Provincial Minister.
Meanwhile, Mr.Lusambo has challenged the party executive and officials to go flat out and deliver the desired much needed votes required in the 2021 general elections.
He said the delivered vehicles were meant to cushion transport challenges that the officials endured in their pursuit to grow the party.
