Hakainde Hichilema is not smart but clever

- B R Mumba Sr.

Dear Editor,

The pendulum swings both ways … this is what I mean when I say Hakainde Hichilema (HH) of UPND is not smart but just clever and that’s why the smart people of Zambia keep on out-smarting him.

Clever HH condemns smart ECL for commenting on printing ballot papers locally, something privy to the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), he insists, but he turns around and starts making it a campaign theme for himself.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If ECL is not supposed to comment on it, why should clever HH then do so? They are both self-interested parties.

During the last election HH said no to ballot papers being printed in Dubai because Government Printers can do the job locally and save costs.

This time around he says no printing of ballot papers locally because PF can steal the elections. The smart people of the Zambian are thinking mmm, how dull this guy can be, they ask?

He thinks we have forgotten? He’s double tongued! Stolen elections? Which ones?

In the final certified tally smart ECL got 50.3percent of the vote, enough not to require a constitutionally required rerun.

This clever guy had 14 days per the constitution to file proper paperwork to challenge the election but could not produce the right paperwork let alone any proof.

Firstly, he’s a flip flopper on printing locale, secondly he’s a liar telling us about the last election being stolen without proof and thirdly, he thinks we are stupid or something.

We are going to show him who the smart ones are because being clever is not good enough, and that my friends is how the pendulum swings both ways.

HH is a prisoner of his own conscience, having lost so many times, he lost his soul as well. He can say anything, fake anything, forge any numbers, would do anything to just get to State House and that my friends is a traitor; you don’t want such a fellow in State House. Just when I had just started to reconsider and give him a fighting chance, I counted wrong and forgot one crucial thing; a leopard never changes its colour and clever never beats smart. Smart always leads and clever only follows. Zambia is greater than any single one of us.
