‘As you may be aware, government launched the 7th national development plan as an institution we were involved in the consultative workshop on the implementation strategies on the 7th National Development Plan by the Ministry of Planning and National Development and as such, EIZ has been drafted into the human development pillar of the national development plan out of the four pillars in health, education, water, science And technology,” reads part of his speech to the over 200 delegates that attended the meeting.
He said it was gratifying to note that Government recognises the importance of engineering profession in the country as demonstrated by government decision to involve the EIZ in the 7th National Development Plan planning and implementation stage. Mr. Sitali encouraged delegates attending the meeting to take keen interest in reading through the 7th National Development Plan document in order to understand government’s roadmap towards developing the country’s economy.
