Precious Longwe put on defence in theft case

THE Lusaka Magistrate­s’ court has set April 17, 2018 for Precious Longwe’s defence in the case in which she is alleged to have stolen K200, 000 from BancABC where she was an employee.

The matter came up yesterday for mention before Magistrate Nthandose Chabala.

In this matter, 32-year-old Precious Longwe is charged with one count of theft of K200, 000 from BancABC.

Longwe was convicted for murdering her husband Lubinda Litebele by shooting him five times.

It is also alleged that the money was discovered in her house after the shooting incidence by police officers who went to investigat­e the murder case. It is alleged that Longwe, of house number 19 off Buluwe Road in Woodlands, Lusaka, stole the money on May 24th 2016, in Lusaka, from BancABC, where she was employed as a customer service officer.
