NDC CHIEFS NABBED
NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) secretary general Mwenya Musenge and two other senior party officials have been arrested in Kawambwa.
The other two officials are national mobilisation chairman Christopher Mutale and national elections chairperson Jackson Simwezya.
The three officials were conducting interviews ahead of local government by-election next week and were arrested yesterday.
Copperbelt NDC chairperson Chipoka Mulenga confirmed the arrest of the opposition senior party members to the Daily Nation.
Mr Chipoka said the NDC members were conducting their political duties and claimed that they did not commit any offence.
He said the three are still in detention because the Police have denied them a police bond.
