Kaindu extols Power

- By SPORTS REPORTER

POWER Dynamos coach, Kelvin Kaindu, has commended his boys for maintaining top position on the MTN/FAZ Super League after edging National Assembly FC 1-0 in a week two fixture played last Sunday at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

Speaking in a post-match interview at Woodlands Stadium, Kaindu noted that it was important for Power Dynamos to collect maximum points as they were playing away from home.

Kaindu also praised the performance of National Assembly who created numerous scoring chances in the week two fixture but failed to find the back of the net.

“I don’t think I can call Assembly a weak team, they did beat a team that has assembled a lot of foreign based players and they also gave us a good run. We had to change our formation three times for us to get a goal and as you know Woodlands Stadium has never been an easy ground for us to play our game but the most important thing is collecting the maximum three points away from home,

“We take each game as it comes. We have two crucial games against Kitwe United and Nkana and you know local derbies are never easy but we have to be focused and disciplined to collect maximum points,” Kaindu said.

And National Assembly Coach, Osward Mutapa said failure to score by his boys cost the team a positive result against Power Dynamos.

Mutapa, whose team face Nkana in their next fixture, said that the 12-times league champions are just like any other team in the league and would be treated with the seriousness they deserve.

Meanwhile, Napsa Stars coach, Linos Makwaza has described his team’s 2-0 loss to Nchanga Rangers as a minor setback in the team’s quest to finish the league in the top four.

Makwaza cautioned his players to work extra hard for the team to achieve its targets noting that there was no easy team in the league.

“This is a minor setback, we will go back to the drawing board hopefully we will get the result in our next games. There is need for the boys to keep on pushing to achieve our target of finishing fourth. There is no easy team in the league,” Makwaza observed.
