Insults against Lungu sadden BIGOCA overseer

BIBLE Gospel Church in Africa (BIGOCA) Church overseer Apostle John Ndlovu is saddened by opposition political parties and individual­s who have continued insulting President Edgar Lungu and other leaders in authority.

Apostle Ndlovu said the Church has condemned the disrespect­ful utterances directed at 3resident /ungu including elderly people in the country.

Speaking during Easter 6unday service in /usaka yesterday, Apostle Ndlovu appealed to politician­s to embrace the spirit of forgivenes­s and reconcilia­tion for the betterment of the nation.

Apostle Ndlovu said politician­s should have respect for the people in authority because leadership came from God, therefore politics was not about insulting, but sharing ideas and issues.

Apostle Ndlovu said once the spirit of /ove and forgivenes­s is embraced by politician­s then the country would co-exist.

He however said the church would continue supporting Government of the day by offering checks and balances were due and would remain non-partisan.

He said Zambia being a Christian nation there was need to exhibit good morals among the people, hence there will be no short cuts to ascend to power.

“We condemn every utterances which are emerging in our country which of no respect on people in authority, no respect of elderly people, therefore politician­s must have respect to those in authority and we only have one country.
