Give Lungu space to rule, opposition told

-

Dear Editor,

ALLOW me to comment on the current trend which has developed in this country where opposition political leaders and individuals are fond of attacking President Edgar Lungu with impunity for no apparent or unjustifiable reasons.

I am not saying the President is perfect and does not make mistakes but the way he is being attacked and insulted day in day out leaves much to be desired.

These disgruntled politicians and individuals should not think that they are more intelligent than the majority of Zambians who are the voters, simply because thay have access to some media (social, print or electronic) where they can always vomit trash.

Just who do they think they represent apart from venting their own frustrations on President Lungu?

Their attacks on the President are driven by jealousy, hatred and greed, and therefore they should not take the people of Zambia for granted.

The Zambian voters who are the silent majority are watching and waiting for 2021 so that some of these loud-mouthed clowns can be sent to the political dust bins once and for all.

Who are they trying to impress apart from their minions and their families?

If you spare some time and look at the postings on social media and in some private news papers as well as conversations on private television and radio stations, you realise that it is the same characters who are always writing and talking nonsense about President Lungu.

So who do they think they are fooling? All patriotic Zambians have no time to waste by posting trash on social media because they are busy working hard to earn a living and help develop the country.

Only a few frustrated and disgruntled individuals find time to waste on these media platforms.

The period of politicking ended on August 11, 2016 when the general elections were held.

It is now time for work and everyone has a role to play towards fostering economic development of Zambia.

GS, Choma.
