Ex-player Isis sues Lusaka Dynamos
LUSAKA Dynamos Football Club has been dragged to the Lusaka High Court by a former player who is demanding K200, 000 in unpaid salaries and termination of employment.
In his statement of claim filed in court, Nseumo 'ongue Georges Isis claimed that on )ebruary 14, 2017 he and the football club signed a two year contract where he was to offer his service as a professional footballer. Isis claims that it was a term of agreement that he would be entitled to a monthly salary of K10, 000 in addition to a winning bonus of K4, 000 and a scoring bonus of K200 per goal scored. Isis claims that in his term of contract it was also agreed that in an event of a dispute, he was to be entitled to a full salary up to the end of his contract of employment.
He however claimed that the club neglected to pay him a salary for eight months which amounted to K80,000. He further claimed that on October 14, 2017, the football club terminated his contract without notice or payment. Isis indicated that he will demonstrate at trail that following the termination of his employment, he had on several occasions demanded payment of his dues and that the club neglected to meet its obligation. “The football club is truly indebted to me and I have suffered loss and damages,” Isis indicated. Isis is now demanding K80,000 damages for termination of contract without notice. Further payment of K120, 000 being monies owed to him from the date of termination to end of contract. He also wants damages and interest on all amounts due.
