Ban Socialist Party -BIGOCA

- By NATION REPORTER

GOVERNMENT must deregister the newly launched Socialist Party (SP) if it is true that people behind its formation in Zambia support same sex marriages, a clergyman has charged.

In an interview yesterday, Bible Gospel Church in Africa (BIGOCA) Overseer Apostle Peter Ndhlovu also called on Zambians to take keen interest in revelations made by Rainbow Party (RP) leader Wynter Kabimba on SP 2021 presidential candidate Fred M’membe because the two had been close allies for some years. “The revelation by Wynter Kabimba about the Socialist Party must be taken with the seriousness it deserves because they (Mr. Kabimba and Mr. M’membe) have been together and Wynter Kabimba knows more than what other Zambians know about the Socialist Party.

“As a country we cannot accept such a political party to be there, it must be deregistered immediately. I am calling upon the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs to investigate and ensure this party does not operate in Zambia because its stance on same sex marriages is contrary to our Christian values, our culture and beliefs as a nation,” Apostle Ndhlovu said.

He said homosexuality should not be tolerated in a Christian nation because the practice is not a human right but a sign of mental deficiency.

“You cannot practice homosexuality in your normal mental status. To those gay rights activists, if their parents were practicing homosexuality and lesbianism, were they going to be there? Let us value what is Biblical. Politicians supporting such acts just want to earn sympathy and raise funds from countries which are practicing such.

“I believe we can do without those countries, we can still exist as a nation without their funds, without their help. I am appealing to all Zambians and all church leaders to condemn this evil agenda, which should not be accepted in this country.

“Such a political party must be deregistered because it has no room in Zambia,” Apostle Ndhlovu said.

He praised Mr. Kabimba for taking a bold stance to reveal SP sympathisers’ sexual orientation.

“Thank you Wynter for your boldness in making this revelation because the Bible says that people perish for lack of knowledge. Now that you have given Zambians this knowledge, let the Zambians judge the kind of people Socialist Party leaders are,” Apostle Ndhlovu said.
