HELP NAMWALA VILLAGERS

-

Dear editor, The recent revelations that HH got more than 1,500 hactares of land and prevent about 600 villages in Namwala from using the communal grazing land makes sad reading. Is this the man who has offered himself for the top office of the land? And his supporters want him to run the affairs of this country? My foot, not in my country. I now agree with late President Michael Sata that educated people are the worst cowards in this country. Why should Zambians take a risk to vote for someone who thinks of himself first because of false promises of free bread and butter . God’s warning has been loud and clear that never should we allow him to rule this land where David Livingstone knelt and prayed to be a free, peaceful and prayerful nation. President Edgar Lungu should also realise that the power and mandate given to him by God through the Zambian people via the ballot should be used to protect creation. His government has the responsibility to protect every Zambian including the people who have lost grazing land at the hands of HH in Namwala. Let him heed the call by Chief Chikwanda to begin to crack a whip on bad elements in both government and the opposition. It is better to keep one person in the safe hands of prison warders for the safety of the 16 million plus Zambians. Being tolerant does not show one’s humility but to be able to correct wrong doing by any method is the best way to show humility. I refuse to be among the educated cowards of our country. I’m always ready to stand for the truth. Where are other relatively bigger opposi- tion parties? Why don’t they team up and fight injustices in the UPND if at all they are fighting for the interests of Zambians? Decency and morality demand that they should sometimes team up with the ruling party to fight the unbecoming alien practices in some opposition political parties. I agree with Julius Malema that embedded journalism is a danger to democracy. What we sadly see today is more than yellow journalism, it is something worse. With this kind of incompetence in the journalism fraternity, the international media will effectively portray our country as one in a crisis because there is no local journalist to give the correct account. I pray that they toil for nothing . Let us all stand up and demand honesty, love, justice and morality from all leaders both in the ruling party and the opposition. I will not rest until the President acts on the justice being suffered by the villagers of Namwala.

Enock Kapitolo chulu Lusaka.
