SHUT UP, HALABALWA TOLD

- By NATION REPORTER

NETO Halabalwa, a UPND official in Southern Province should shut up when he does not understand matters because bootlicking and blindly worshipping his masters will not put food on the table of poor Southerners, New Congress Party (NCP) Leader, Peter Chanda has charged.

Pastor Chanda observed that Mr Halabalwa had been blindly defending the UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema without getting facts right.

He was reacting to claims by Mr Halabalwa that Mr Hichilema had title to over 1,500 hectares of land he fenced off, leaving 600 villages without grazing land in Namwala district.

Mr Chanda however wondered how the UPND leader had obtained title to customary land as claimed by Mr Halabalwa.

He explained that if the land in question was given to Mr Hichilema or bought from headmen then there was no way he could have title to the land.

Mr Chanda charged that Mr Halabalwa should stop defending his masters blindly without analysing issues because it was the poor people who suffered in the end as a result of the UPND leader’s greed and arrogance.

“It is clear that the man doesn’t know what he is talking about. He just talks blindly. Title on customary land? Do headmen give titles now?” he questioned.

Meanwhile, Mr Chanda expressed disappointment that Mr Hichilema had selfishly decided to shatter the livelihoods of thousands of poor Zambians.

He reiterated that as a leader and man who claimed to hold the plight of poor Zambians in high esteem, Mr Hichilema should be thinking of giving back more to societies not taking away the little people held on to.

Mr Chanda charged that Mr Hichilema had not yet come to terms with what true leadership was as he always thought only about himself.
