Chakunkula ward office constructed
By NATION REPORTER THE construction of the Patriotic Front (PF) ward office in Chakunkula ward 32 is a sign that the party is working and that the new structure will help with party mobilisation in the area, says PF Lusaka district chairman Starford Kayame.
Speaking during the official opening of the PF ward office on Saturday, Mr Kayame explained that the party had promised the Zambian people hospitals, new road networks, schools adding that this was exactly what the party was doing countrywide.
“In my reign as Lusaka district chairman in the PF this is the first office built by the ward and this shows that we are resilient as a party and this is one of the characteristics we have shown today as a ward.
“The promises this party has made are being fulfilled because we are seeing hospitals and we live by our work as PF,” Mr Kayame.
He thanked the party members for the contributions that they had made during the construction of the ward office in the area adding that it was a sign that the people were working and strengthen the party.
Meanwhile Chakunkula ward councillor Smart Mwitwa expressed happiness that the ward office that had been built was because of the cry of the members in the community to own an office.
“This is the sweat of all the party officials in Chakunkula whatever you are seeing was donated by the party officials within the ward,” he said.
