30 in camp ahead of COSAFA tournament
By SPORTS REPORTER THIRTY players have been called to camp for a Chipolopolo training session starting on Monday ahead of the 2018 COSAFA Castle Cup tournament which kicks-off on May 27 in South Africa.
According to a list made available to Daily Nation Sports yesterday, Wedson Nyirenda has included midfielders Larry Bwalya, Cletus Chama, Collins Sikombe and Kelvin Kampamba in the provisional squad.
Others are defenders Ziyo Tembo, Billy Mutale, and Moston Muchindu while the striking force has the likes of Diamond Chikwekwe, Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba and Youremember Banda. Speaking in an interview, FAZ communications manager Desmond Katongo said the players were expected to enter camp on Sunday.
Katongo said the camping was to prepare for the COSAFA tournament.
Zambia will begin her fifth title chase in the quarter-finals against Namibia on June 2.
