Mulongoti is a hardcore job seeker – Musoma

PEOPLE’S Party president Mike Mulongoti is a hardcore job seeker who is envious of others, says Zambian Republican Party president Wright Musoma.

Reacting to Mr Mulongoti’s recent allegations that he was a hungry politician, Mr Musoma said he was far more disciplined than Mr Mulongoti whose preoccupation was to look for a political job.

He explained that he campaigned for President Lungu with Mr Mulongoti in 2015 but did not change his stance as his support was based on principle, unlike Mr Mulongoti who was a hardcore job seeker.

“We both supported President Lungu in 2015 and for some of us we have continued to do so, because we supported him on principle, and the message he had for the people.

“I did not get a job from President Lungu but I am not bitter and envious of others like Mr Mulongoti,” Mr Musoma said.

He said Mr Mulongoti had no direction as a politician as he was bent on job seeking which has led to his frustration.

“After he came out from the MMD, Mulongoti went to PF and when he did not get a job from PF in 2015, Mr Mulongoti is on record of supporting the FDD in 2016 and now is in an alliance with the UPND. This is lack of discipline and direction, it is simply politics of the belly,” Mr Musoma said.

He challenged Mr Mulongoti to desist from resorting to insults, adding that there was no need for him to get emotional if he had nothing to hide.

Mr Musoma said it was surprising that Mr Mulongoti failed to explain his connection to a former Malawian journalist, M. J. Mulongoti.

Mr Musoma vowed to continue to ask for answers concerning Mr Mulongoti’s own nationality as he was a public figure seeking public office

He said it was disappointing that a person who desired to be President could not respond to queries regarding his persona in a decent manner
