Political detractor warned

-

By NATION REPORTER A MAN who claims to be a member of the ruling PF is causing hue and cry in Petauke after he recently launched his 2021 parliamentary campaign, much to the annoyance of the local leadership.

Young brother of Senior Chief Kalindawalo and former member of the campaign team for Ms Dora Siliya (Petauke Central) and President Edgar Lungu, Machona Jere named the man as Emmanuel Banda who stood as an Independent in 2016 but despondently lost to the incumbent MP.

Mr Jere has since called on both district and provincial PF leadership to stop the campaigns by Mr Banda because apart from breaking the law, he was allegedly disrupting development projects initiated by Ms Siliya.

He said Mr Banda has deployed three vehicles for his 2021 election campaign which were going round disseminating his campaign messages even when the elections were still three years away.

Mr Jere wondered why Mr Banda should start campaigning for the 2021 elections now when the constituency already had a sitting MP.

He said the vehicles have campaign messages “Chitukuko Patsogolo na EJJ Banda 9ote 2021´ written on them.

“This man is causing anarchy in Petauke Central and disrupting development projects initiated by Ms Siliya. Why can’t he wait for 2021 and I don’t that think even the Electoral Commission of Zambia can tolerate what he is doing in Petauke,

“I am challenging both district and provincial PF leadership to stop Mr Banda’s activities. He has already been to Prime T9 and CBC T9 to attack Ms Siliya. He has been doing so even on his Facebook Page, why can’t he wait for 2021,´asked Mr Jere

He challenged Mr Banda to go back to school to learn issues of governance before contesting an election, adding that currently he appeared too raw to be a politician.

Mr Jere said currently there were other other people eyeing Petauke Central constituency and that therefore Mr Banda should wait for 2021 so that they could all could start on equal footing.

Mr Banda could not be immediately reached for a comment.
