ABOUT 140 local and foreign exhibitors have confirmed participation at this year's Copperbelt, Agricultural, Mining, Industrial and Networking Enterprise Exhibition (CAMINEX) set for next month in Kitwe.

CAMINEX is organised by Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural, Commercial Show Society (CACSS) and Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery.

CMACS Chairman London Mwafulilwa said in an interview that this year's show would see an increase in participation from last year's 120 to this year's 140 exhibitors.

Mr Mwafulilwa said President Edgar Lungu would officially open the 2018 CAMINEX under the theme 're-positioning for environmentally sustainable eco- nomic growth.`It will run from June 5 to 7th.

"I can safely say the stage for the 2018 CAMINEX is set with 140 local and foreign exhibitors confirming their participation at the show. This is Zambia's premier Copperbelt agricultural, mining and industrial trade expo which will be showcasing the latest in products, machinery, technologies and services,” he said.

Mr Mwafulilwa said some foreign companies from United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, China, South Africa, Kenya and Zimbabwe would participate at the show next month.

He said the show would provide visitors an opportunity to network with industry professionals and technical experts.

The visitors, he said, would view machinery demonstrations and benefit from the knowledge and skills shared during business seminars.

"Government and industry speakers will present a wide range of topics at the seminars. The Ministry of Mines will discuss the outlook of the Zambian mineral market for the period 2018 to 2025 as well as the promotion of economic diversi- fication and how to overcome challenges and discover new opportunities,'' he said

Mr Mwafulilwa said a key note presentation that outlines how agriculture and manufacturing industries are key enablers to developing a sustainable agro processing industry in Zambia would be presented by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture.

Meanwhile, Specialized Exhibitions Montgomery managing director Gary Corin said CAMINEX was an essential trade platform as it created space for stakeholders to network and conduct business in a holistic manner.
