STAR MILLING DRILLS BOREHOLE FOR KAMANGA SCHOOL

- By NATION REPORTER

WE have been compelled to drill a borehole at Kamanga Community School at a cost of K22, 200 after reading an article in the Daily Nation Newspaper, says Star milling company managing director, Chisha Phiri. In an interview with the Daily Nation yesterday, Mr Phiri said the milling firm felt compelled to assist the community school for the vulnerable children who were experiencing water challenges.

“We read an article in the Daily Nation Newspaper in which the councilor for Chakunkula ward 32 was appealing to well-wishers to come on board and help the school sink a borehole.

“We responded to the call as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS),” Mr Phiri said. ing He was said giving what they back were to do- the community adding that what was remaining was the tank and everything else that would follow.

Meanwhile Chakunkula ward 32 Councilor Smart Mwitwa expressed happiness with the gesture by Star milling. Mr Mwitwa said that the milling company had done a great job adding that the cry of water at the institution would be a thing of the past adding that not only would the school benefit from the facility but also the community. “The managing director of Star Milling had seen my cry in the Daily Nation Newspaper that l was looking for someone to sink a borehole at Kamanga community school.

So now we have a borehole that was drilled last week all that is remaining is the installation of the pipes and the tank,” he said.
