CB show guarantees global linkages
THE 2018 Copperbelt, Agricultural , Mining , Industrial , Networking and Enterprise (CAMINEX) which opens the gates tomorrow in Kitwe is set to facilitate effective linkages for local businesses with international entities for sustainable growth.
CAMINEX which is organised by the Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural and Commercial Show Society (CMACS) has attracted more than 140 local and international exhibitors.
Society Chairman London Mwafulilwa said the South African Capital Equipment Export Council (SACEEC) has been tasked to assist in positioning Southern African companies within target markets.
Mr Mwafulilwa said in Kitwe at the weekend that SACEEC fully appreciated the difficulty companies experienced in establishing a foothold in Africa from which they could deliver projects that could contribute to the development in the region.
‘’An exhibitor at CAMINEX, the SACEEC has been tasked with assisting in advantageously positioning Southern African companies’ products and allied services within international target markets.
“SACEEC will therefore aim to provide a solution and bridge obstacles by proposing cost-efficient, workable and well-resourced centres of operations from which companies may launch their business interests into the Zambian and ultimately the surrounding market,” Mr Mwafulilwa said.
Mr Mwafulilwa added that international companies like WJ Engineering would use CAMINEX as a platform to offer comprehensive range of products and services to the mining industry including consulting, design and manufacturing of mining equipment and structural steel.
“Also on show at CAMINEX will be the Southern Africa Stainless Steel Development Association (SASSDA) with its focus on primary stainless steel product and stainless steel hardware for architectural purposes,’’ he said.
“Polyroads will be showcasing its polyseal barrier liners at this year’s CAMINEX. The barrier systems have been designed to prevent regional ground water contamination by isolating leaching process from the wider environment,” he said.
Voidcon Decking Systems, he said, would be looking to meeting construction-related companies with a view to establishing alliances.
He said there will also be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to discuss the option of becoming representatives and or licenses.
Mr Mwafulilwa said the 2018 CAMINEX under the theme, “repositioning for environmentally sustainable economic growth,” would to be officially opened by President Edgar Lungu.
