CB show gates open

By NATION REPORTER THE Copperbelt Agricultur­al, Mining , Industrial and Networking Enterprise Exhibition (CAMINEX) in Kitwe today opens the gates to the public with Show Society chairman London Mwafulilwa urging the business community and show goers to turn up in big numbers.

CAMINEX is Zambia's premier Copperbelt agricultur­al, mining and industrial trade expo which showcases the latest in products, machinery, technologi­es and services.

Mr Mwafulilwa said this year’s show has attracted more than 140 local and business exhibitors in various sectors of the economy and was hopeful that exhibitors would benefit through networking and various business linkages. He said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that the 2018 CAMINEX under the theme “reposition­ing for environmen­tally sustainabl­e economic growth” would be officially opened by Republican President Edgar Lungu.

"The show will be officially opened by the Republican President Edgar Lungu on Wednesday. I must say this show is an opportunit­y for the business community to create new customers and maintain the existing ones by coming up with quality services and goods.

Mr Mwafulilwa said some of the foreign companies which will be participat­ing at the show would come from United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, China, South Africa, Kenya and Zimbabwe.

He said the show will provide visitors with the opportunit­y to network with industry profession­als, get advice from technical experts, view machinery demonstrat­ions and benefit from the knowledge and skills shared at the daily free-to-attend business seminars.

And a visit by the Daily Nation yesterday to the show ground showed a number of both local and foreign exhibitors preparing their stands.

Some of the exhibitors like the Zambia Chamber of Mines, Belview Limited which had taken over the stand which was previously occupied by the Ndola Lime.

Others who were doing preparatio­ns to their stands were NAPSA, Status Hitech, Nkana Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC), Southern Cross Motors, Zambia National Service, Kalulushi Clay Bricks and Zamseed.
