PARLIAMENT has described late *enGeU 0inisteU 9iFtoria Kalima as a fearless and courageous woman who was GeGiFateG to Gut\
Patriotic Front and UPND as well as Independent Members of Parliament yesterday, poured their condolences during a solemn motion to their departed colleague for her virtues.
+ome Affairs Minister 6tephen Kampyongo said Ms Kalima was passionate about issues affecting womenfolk.
Acting Leader of Government Business, Stephen Chungu expressed sadness at the untimely death of Kasenengwa lawmaker, Ms Kalima, 46 who passed on at Maina Soko Military Hospital in Lusaka on Monday.
Mr. Chungu said the late Ms Kalima who is survived by two children will be put to rest tomorrow at Leopards Hill Park.
Kafue MP Miriam Chonya said the late Ms Kalima was generous in her work and needed to be emulated as she was relentless in persuasions about gender and economic emancipation of women.
UPND Katuba Member of Parliament, Patricia Mwashingwele said Ms Kalima has left a lasting legacy.
³7here are times when as parliamentarians we may not look as close as we are supposed to be but when it comes to work we are a team to reckon with,” she said.
Mbabala MP Ephraim Belemu said Ms Kalima was a frank person and of strong faith in the Lord while Nalikwanda MP Professor Geoffrey Lungwangwa said the late parliamentarian was an effective politician and debated issues constructively.
Choma Central MP Cornelius Mweetwa said Ms Kalima epitomized a principled politician.
