Chief Liteta pledges to work with government
CHIEF Liteta of Chibombo has pledged to work with Government and make land available where possible as long as it is earmarked for developmental purposes.
The traditional leader said this when Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya, who was accompanied by Irish ambassador to Zambia Seamus O'Grady, officially opened a health post in the area.
Chief Liteta said he was happy to have made land available for the health post as his subjects
were the main beneficiaries.
The chief urged Government to continue taking services to the people and promised to work with the government of the day.
fiI am happy that I gave you land and indeed we are seeing something out of it. In order to bring development to my area, I™m ready to work with government. So we give land for developmental purposes and it™s up to you do something with it,fl he said.
Meanwhile, Dr Chilufya thanked the traditional leader for making land available for the construction of Dr Lucy O'Brian Memorial Health Centre in the area.
He announced that government would complete all the promised 360 health posts across the country in phases.
Dr Chilufya said Government was committed to working with relevant stakeholders to ensure that health services were improved and made accessible to all.
And UPND Kembe Member of Parliament Princess Kasune called on Government to construct a district hospital and more health posts in the area.
