Construction of two Mafinga district hospitals is on coXrse says 0afinJa Member of Parliament Jacob Siwale.
Mr Siwale told the Daily Nation that he is impressed with the quality of works by the two contractors working on the two district hospitals.
‘’I‘am impressed with contractors working on construction of two district hospitals in Mafinga, the workmanship and the quality of works so far is excellent,” said Mr Siwale
He added that construction of the two hospitals is progressing well with over 80 percent of works completed so far.
“The works on the district hospital are progressing well with over 80 percent of the works done so far,” he said.
Mr Siwale said the works are expected to be completed in November this.
‘’We are excited that government through the Ministry of Health has already deployed personnel to these facilities in readiness for the commissioning by November this year. ’Mr. Siwale said.
Mr. Siwale said the construction of the two hospitals will reduce on maternal deaths the district was currently experiencing due to long distances people were covering to access primary health care services in neighbouring Malawi and Isoka.
Mr. Siwale noted that the construction of the hospitals is in line with Government’s policy of ensuring medical facilities are brought as closer to the people as possible.
He said President Lungu’s led government is committed to improving the lives of the people by taking social amnesties including health care services closer to communities across the country.
