PRESIDENT LUNGU’S VISIT TO RELATIVES
I READ with great interest President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s visit to his relatives in Eastern Province.
Accordingly the President on Monday took time off his busy schedule to visit his family on both his father and mother’s side in Chief Kalindawalo’s chiefdom in Petauke, much to the delight of his family members.
This was interesting indeed as his step mother Ms Ekelesi Nkhoma Lungu of Muzabwela farm, Lima section, could not hide her joy, she danced to traditional songs in welcoming her son.
Other close family members on hand to welcome the President to the farm were his brothers Fashion, Gideon, Aliel Lungu and his sister Bertha.
Later, President Lungu visited his father’s immediate young sister Ms Manest Lungu in Mkwama village. The President’s aunt jokingly informed him that despite him being the Head of State, she had prepared a room for him to sleep in like in the old days.
However this visit is timely as some vuvuzelas like Mike Mulongoti and other who doubt President Lungu’s nationality will shut their mouths.
In fact President Lungu is a humble man since he has been brushing aside these useless tales from Mulongoti and the likes.
It was really touching to see the reunion. It was also clear that this family is close. They are united. Thanks Mr President for shaming the devil.
