Mushindamo district road works commence
WORKS on the 17 kilometer Kangwena Fimpasa and Kangwena Lwenge roads in Mushindamo district have commenced.
Mushindamo district commissioner, Emmanuel Chihili, confirmed the development in an interview with the Daily Nation yesterday.
He said rehabilitation works on the 1x2 classroom block at Fimpasa primary school has also commenced.
Mr Chihili said works on the two roads will include grading in order to ease the movement of the people in the two areas.
‘‘The contractor has moved on site and works on the two roads have since started,’’ Mr Chihili explained.
He said once completed, the two roads will help to ease movement of goods especially farm produce.
He appealed to residents in the two communities to be cooperative with the contractor during the construction period.
And Mr Chihili has revealed that rehabilitation works on the 1x2 classroom block at Fimpasa primary school has commenced.
He said this follows the release of funds to carry out rehabilitation works on the facility.
‘’I can also confirm that rehabilitation works on the 1x2 classroom block at Fimpasa primary school has started after some funds were released last week to have the school refurbished,’’ he said.
