Chibamba Kanyama challenges youths
THE youth in Zambia must rise up and take their full place in national development ventures and propagate ustice for vulnerable groups especially women and girls, Chibamba Kanyama has said. Mr Kanyama said that young people needed to make a reality check about the things happening in their societies and take responsibility by in bringing solutions. Speaking at the Kelvin Nyirongo Hope Foundation fundraising braii held on Saturday, Mr. Kanyama called on young people to stand up and make a difference in the lives and those around them. He said d that young people should understand that local organizations such as the Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia which addresses child marriages, and the Kelvin Nyirongo Hope Foundation was a result of young people seeking to bring about solutions to the problems that affects them as locals. And speaking at the same event guest speaker, Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia (MCMZ) executive director, Sibbuku Genious Musokotwane said young people played a critical role in accelerating justice and development for all. Mr. Musokotwane said fundraising initiatives by local organizations such as the Kelvin Nyirongo Hope Foundation provided an open platform for individuals and the corporate business to respond to call for a collective vision for national development which leaves no one behind. And the foundation executive director, Kelvin Nyirongo said the organization was currently supporting 20 children in primary schools through such initiatives.
