Buffaloes humble Dynamos

Kabamba opened the scores for dominant %uffaloes in the seventh minute when he rose high to head in their first corner kick taken by midfielder -ack &hirwa.

&hikwekwe doubled %uffaloes¶ lead seven minutes later when he went past two Lusaka Dynamos defenders before unleashing a sublime low shot that beat Mugabi Yasi with his first attempt on target.

%uffaloes could have scored their third goal but were unfortunat­e as Luka Banda stopped Chikwekwe with a brilliant tackle to maintain the score line a minute before half time.

Mwansa Nsofwa scored Lusaka Dynamos consolatio­n goal in the 60th minute while %uffaloes maintained their six games unbeaten record.

The win reduced the gap between Zesco United and the Zambia Army side to two points while the Ndola giants have two games in hand.

Meanwhile in the second fixture of the double header, -oseph Phiri¶s th minute strike gave Red Arrows their seventh victory of the season after overcoming Kitwe giants Power Dynamos 1-0.

Despite having created numerous scoring opportunit­ies, both teams failed to find the back of the net in the first half.

With the game set to end in a draw, Phiri stunned the visitors with a superb strike which ended Arrows poor streak in the league.

At Godfrey &hitalu 6tadium in .abwe, Aggrey &hiyangi¶s Green (agles humbled Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy KYSA 2-1 to keep their hopes of playing continenta­l football alive.

In form striker Amos Tembo gave Eagles the lead minutes after kick off before &lifford Saudi equalised for KYSA six minutes into the second half.

It was Eagles who laughed last however as Shadreck Mulungwe silenced the home team in regulation time to hand Eagles the victory.

The victory propelled Eagles to third on the league table with 47 points, 11 points behind leaders Zesco United who are on 58 points.
