North PF fires salvo at Mulongoti

- By NATION REPORTER

MIKE Mulongoti and his paymasters will still be defeated in 2021 even if they teamed up with their compromised foreign agents, says Northern Province PF youth chairperson Chibwaya Muma.

Mr Muma said that was so because elections were not won in courts of law but in the ballot boxes.

He said Mr. Mulongoti’s ranting that Zambians would reject the PF in 2021 was wishful thinking and challenged him to cite any reason that would force Zambians to vote for UPND.

Mr. Muma said Mr. Mulongoti was among some politicians who misread the political mood in 2016 and crossed roads to enter the UPND camp.

He said Mr Mulongoti thought that the PF was going to lose and as such he could not be the best the person to foretell what 2021 would bring because he had goofed before.

He said the fact that the PF had continued dismantling the opposition UPND by not only getting its members, but also winning elections in its strongholds with convincing margins, was an indicator that the opposition was headed for oblivion.

He said the PF was not bothered by such sentiments that projected victories of UPND as they were far from reality.

“Such vague predictions and baseless claims do not scare us at all. Before the 2016 elections, the UPND had already won on paper. Even before the first vote was cast, the UPND had already taken an early lead but did they win?

“It is people like Mr. Mulongoti who were misleading the UPND that they would win the election but again, they have found themselves losers,” he said

Mr Muma said UPND made alliances after alliances as the party had never gone into an election without one since the death of Mr. Anderson Mazoka, the founder of the party, but still failed to win.

He advised Mr. Mulongoti to concentrate on organising his own political party and stop speaking for UPND because it was “a dead horse not worth flogging.

“Politics is not for kids. Let him come to reality and just accept that the PF is delivering on its promises and that as a result, people will still vote for us no matter how he tries to tarnish our image,” he said.
