HH MUST STOP WHINING

- Dear Editor, JAMES HALWIINDE

HH should now spare this country from his whinning over stolen votes.

The Lusaka Mayoral elections were a referendum. He had an opportunity to show the country that his Lusaka stronghold- Kanyama would turn out in numbers to outvote the Patriotic Frontthey failed miserably.

The result was a 2:1 ratio indicating the electorate preference over his party, which has never ceased to be a triable club in spite of efforts to recruit mercenaries from other parts of the country.

Every party that participated faced the same challenge of apathy. None was spared therefore as a factor apathy was removed as a factor influencing the outcome.

Therefore the outcome was a clear preference of parties and indeed candidate. In many respects the parties were more at play. The PF came on top even in the more affliuent areas where no rallies were held. People voted with their conviction which ruled out the UPD and Mr. Hichilema in particular.

HH must change his style. Bitterness and bad language will not get him anywhere. He must start to show statesmanship by embracing Zambians of good character and standing in their communities. Picking tribal rogues will simply bring him down because those people he is associating with are counting on their tribal leaning to win support and this is the character that many Zambians are against.

What Zambia needs now is a concerted effort to ditch tribal clubs to unite in one strong party that will ensure universal patronage.
