Katumbi hails Zambia
ZAMBIA is a land of progress and development with peace as its best attribute for any form of investment, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) presidential aspirant Moise Katumbi says.
Mr Katumbi said the PF Government must be commended for the vast development projects it has undertaken, which have changed the face of Zambia.
He said huge shopping malls have provided jobs and beautiful scenery for both locals and international investors.
He said the construction works across the nation were a sign of peace and economic stability.
“I was so surprised to find massive development projects in Zambia, which have completely changed the face of the nation, with new roads, new shopping malls, and all those providing jobs.
“I have a lot of houses in Kitwe, Ndola and even in Lusaka, I was shocked I couldn’t even locate some of them because of the change in landscape,” he said.
He explained that the Zambian political stability has contributed to the country’s development agenda.
Mr. Katumbi said stability was key in any development programme contrary to the situation in his home country, Democratic Republic of Congo which has failed to provide similar programmes for the betterment of the people.
“They should visit my country in Congo DR and they should compare the situation here and over there. To make a road, it is a lot of money. To give electricity, water, stability, is a lot of sweat for those in leadership.
“Peace, democracy, state of law, and the participation of the Zambian people in choosing national leadership is what is putting Zambia on the world map,” Mr Katumbi said.
He advised the opposition to offer constructive criticism to government to continue pushing for the development agenda for the benefit of all the people.
