-

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is the implementing agency of the Federal Republic of Germany for technical and international cooperation. It offers flexible, sustainable and effective solutions in political, economic and social change processes.

Through the “InsuResilience Global Partnership” Project, GIZ has been tasked with the implementation of Training and Awareness activities on Weather Index Insurance (WII) for Small Scale farmers. Weather events, such as late onset of the rainy season, droughts, inadequate and erratic rainfall, but also excessive rainfall can lead to huge crop losses.Climate change is very likely aggravating these risks as worldwide extreme weather events increase in frequency and severity threaten to undo developments. Weather Index Insurance (WII) can be an appropriate way to reduce these risks and strengthen farmer resilience.

The central objective of the InsuResilience Initiative is to increase the number of people in the most vulnerable developing countries who have access to direct or indirect insurance coverage against the negative impact of climate change related hazards.

The Project therefore seeks the services of a reputable consulting firm / Graphic Designer to finalize training and awareness material on Weather Index Insurance (WII).

All interested consulting firms / Graphic Designers should request for tender documents, including detailed Terms of Reference / Specifications for the above assignment by contacting: <rodrick.daka@giz.de>
