Unity of purpose needed in Chongwe, says Mwakalombe

- By NATION REPORTER

WOMEN in Chongwe should unite and grow the Patriotic Front to enhance the development agenda, says member of Parliament Japhen Mwakalombe. Mr. Mwakalombe who is Copperbelt Province minister, however said he was delighted to note that the ruling party was growing stronger each day in Chongwe. He was speaking in Chongwe at the weekend when he addressed a group of women from 19 wards during his tour of the constituency. “I am delighted that the PF is growing stronger and stronger in our district. I urge you to make PF the party of choice. I recognise the important role that you women play in uniting the party structures. Without your effort we cannot achieve much, “You must grow the party from section to district level, only then will we see greater benefits for us all. Our party is ably dislodging the opposition strongholds and the latest defections involving 40 youths from UPND to PF is an indication that the party is growing,” he said Mr Mwakalombe said the PF should work extremely hard to push UPND into oblivion. “You recently had elections at all levels of the party structures, but you must all work together. There should be no divisions among us. The losers and winners must now unite and work at ensuring that President Lungu wins in 2021,” said Mr Mwakalombe He emphasised that without unity even a big battalion could not win battles, adding that unity should be their anthem at all levels of the party.
