…as his antics are slammed

- By NATION REPORTER

UPND losing candidate for the recently held Lusaka mayoral elections, Kangwa Chileshe has described the behaviour of Lusaka mayor Miles Sampa of posing with a pistol on his facebook as irresponsible and embarrassing. Mr Sampa caused a stir after he posted the picture aimed at sending a strong message to illegal land allocators in the province.

He sent social media buzzing with his gunpose.

But Mr Chileshe told the Daily Nation that Mr Sampa was the father of the city and should exhibit traits that were admirable.

“Really there is no need for his worship to show up with a gun on social media, he is the father of the city, let him put a human face to the city and do the right thing,” Mr Chileshe advised.

He said Mr Sampa had better things to concentrate on such as bringing sanity in bus stations and markets which was currently characterized with politics.

Mr Chileshe said the problem of illegal land allocation was contentious, adding that there was need to use amicable ways of sorting out issues.

“The issue of illegal land is a reality and it is not new, it came with the way some people decided to play politics. Most people end up being victims, some people bought land very truthfully but they have ended up being victimized,” he said.

the City of Lusaka remained peaceful as ever and all law enforcement agencies had continued conducting their normal operations.”
