‘Problematic’ Central PF councillors warned
Pcouncillors in Central Province that have become problematic to the party will soon be dealt with, says provincial chairperson, Chanda Mutale.
Mr Mutale said he had noted that most had become big-headed. He said the behaviour of most councillors was intolerable despite the respect that the party had accorded to them. Mr Mutale was speaking during the meeting for PF structures in Central Province addressed by the party’s secretary-general, Mr Davies Mwila in Kabwe on Sunday. "I have noted with a sharp sense of disappointment regarding councillors in the province. Most of them feel they have arrived and are becoming a problem to the party, I just want to remind you that I am still the provincial chairman," said Mr Mutale. Mr Mutale who is vice parliamentary chief whip said he received reports that most councillors in Serenje had deliberately shunned the provincial meeting called Mr Mwila. He warned that all the problematic councillors would soon be dealt with permission from the SG. "I have heard that in Serenje, most councillors have refused to come to this meeting saying it’s useless to attend, we shall visit them soon with your permission SG," said Mr Mutale. Also warned councillors who had defied this directive to actively contribute to developing the party to start doing so or face disciplinary action. "I gave a directive that councillors should be helping the party but are not doing so, they will be visited," warned Mr Mutale.
