Probe dubious NGOs, political parties Musoma

- By NATION REPORTER

GOVERNMEWNT should not relent in sorting out some dubious non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and political parties being funded by donors to promote homosexuality, Zambia Republican Party (ZRP) leader Wright Musoma has advised. Mr Musoma said the issue of homosexuality in Zambia was not only immoral, but also against the laws of the country. In an interview yesterday, Mr Musoma claimed that some political parties had initiated cooperation with external parties and received foreign funds from homosexuals to discredit the government. He said the law enforcement agencies should take keen interest and institute investigations into recent revelations that some political parties and NGOs were entertaining homosexuality which was against the laws of Zambia. “As ZRP, we would like to find out from government what is happening because there was that revelation that some political parties are being funded by donors who promote homosexuality, why has government kept quiet about that because we as Zambians are concerned?, “We are calling on government not to relent on sorting out NGOs and political parties with questionable characteristics and believed to be funded by donors to promote homosexuality in Zambia because eventually this country will be sold to the Devil,” Mr Musoma said. He pointed out that of late political parties and NGOs were sprouting like mushrooms after the rainsand were receiving funds from homosexuals to discredit the government. And Mr Musoma charged that certain individuals leading some political parties and NGOs in Zambia had ¶close ties· with foreign parties including the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex association that wanted to push for legalization of homosexuals and Satanism in the country.
