Childish UPND caned for shunning freedom gala

- By NATION REPORTER

IT is immature for the UPND to justify its shunning of Independence celebrations on Áimsy grounds that have nothing to do with the PF, a senior clergyman has charged. In an interview yesterday, Bible Gospel Church in Africa (BIGOCA) Overseer Apostle Peter Ndhlovu said the reasons given by the UPND only exposed the immaturity of its leadership. “It shows that they don’t love this country, it shows that they have no direction because if they have direction, they cannot give 15 points, which have no substance. We need to be serious and our politicians need to be above politics when they are talking about the governance of this nation. “If the UPND is the government in waiting, they are portraying that they cannot be given a responsibility to lead this country. Reading through the statement, it is only personal rather than thinking in a broader way. They should go beyond partisan line because they are just talking about PF, which is a mere political party just like UPND but there is a government behind it,” Apostle Ndhlovu said. He said the UPND’s attempt to incite some sections to behave likewise only showed that the opposition party did not value the bloody sacrifice that =ambia’s forefathers made. Apostle Ndhlovu added that the UPND, which boasts of having learned brains, must be the last one not to understand factors leading to the recent global fuel price hike as opposed to blaming it on the PF.
