KATANGA WARNS KAMBWILI

…turn up or else we will come for you in Lusaka.

- By AARON CHIYANZO AND ROGERS KALERO

There is no reason to not go and answer the police call out in Luanshya when he has the means to travel to England for lunch and come back to Zambia. He can equally jump on a plane to the Copperbelt on Thursday and still be back in time for the court case on Friday. The two events are not related and moreover are on different days,” — Chrisantius Changwereza.

Ms Katanga told the Daily Nation in an interview that Mr Kambwili last night sent people to her office around 19:00 hours to inform police that he would not show up as he had a court case on Friday.

Zambian DNA finds Mr Kambwili and his allies morally bankrupt for their gross disrespect of the highest office in the land when they are also vying to occupy the same office. “We expect Mr Kambwili and his allies to behave in the manner befitting their status, and not behave like children throwing mud at each other in a circus,” — Spuki Mulemwa.

ROAN Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili will be arrested wherever he will be found if he fails to show up for questioning at Luanshya Central Police where he has been summoned to appear, Copperbelt Police Commissioner, Charity Katanga has warned.

Mr. Kambwili’s lawyers CL Mundia and company have however informed police that their client may only be availed to police on December 10, 2018 when they will be available to accompany him.

However, Ms Katanga told the Daily Nation in an interview that Mr Kambwili last night sent people to her office around 19:00 hours to inform police that he would not show up as he had a court case on Friday.

However, Ms Katanga said the request was rejected and advised that Mr Kambwili should show up as scheduled because police gave him respect by sending him the call out.

She said the police will not entertain any excuse for failing to turn up for questioning because he was a suspect and not a witness.

“He should not abuse the dignity police used to send him the call out. Police will follow him wherever he will be and arrest him if he doesn’t turn up,” she warned.

She threatened that officers would follow him to Lusaka if he did not show up.

“My officers have just informed me that Mr Kambwili will not report at the police station today because he has a court case on Friday, but we will not entertain such an excuse. We will move and arrest him where he will be.

“If he fails to report at the police station. We will arrest him. He is a suspect and not witness, hence we cannot be dancing to his tune. He sends people at 19:30hours to say am not reporting tomorrow, “Ms Katanga said

Meanwhile, ruling Patriotic Front (PF) members have charged that the cowardice of Mr Kambwili, who is also National Democratic Congress (NDC) consultant, of always coming up with tricks to avert facing the law whenever he is summoned should not be tolerated by authorities,.

The PF members wondered why the Roan constituency lawmaker had been talking without reasoning and breaking the law with impunity when he was too cowardly to face responsibility for his actions.

Mr Lifwekelo said that Mr Kambwili’s tricks of fainting whenever he found himself in a controversial situation were known.

“He is the biggest coward that I have ever seen. Surely a person who sees himself as Presidential material fainting like that and exposing his tummy just because of fear to face the law. Why even insult in that manner if you are such a big coward,” he said.

And former Kanyama constituency aspiring candidate, Chrisantius Changwereza advised Mr Kambwili to face the law.

“There is no reason to not go and answer the police call out in Luanshya when he has the means to travel to England for lunch and come back to Zambia. He can equally jump on a plane to the Copperbelt on Thursday and still be back in time for the court case on Friday. The two events are not related and moreover are on different days,” he said.

Mr Changwereza said that Mr Kambwili was a brave coward who would say things in the heat of the moment and then regret and retreat.

He reiterated that politicians who speak and think later were a danger to society and could mislead people into doing wrong.

And Zambia DNA spokesperson Spuki Mulemwa has warned that Mr Kambwili is ‘morally bankrupt’ and will send himself to jail if he does not tone down in his political statements.

Mr Mulemwa said remarks by Mr Kambwili alleging that there was no President in Zambia were not only unfortunate, demeaning and provocative but were also extremely disrespectful to the Head of State and an insult to the collective intelligence of the Zambian people.

“We expect Mr Kambwili and his allies to behave in the manner befitting their status, and not behave like children throwing mud at each other in a circus,” said Mr Mulemwa.
