South PF lashes at opposition over falsehoods
OPPOSITION leaders spreading false news against President Edgar Lungu are maneuvers calculated to create despondency against the PF government, Pf Southern Province information and publicity secretary, Trymore Mwenda has said.
OPPOSITION leaders spreading false news about President Edgar Lungu are enemies of peace and bent on create despondency in the nation, PF Southern Province information and publicity secretary Trymore Mwenda has said.
Mr Mwenda said their behavior and acts were very unfortunate especially that these were the same politicians who wanted to form government.
In a statement issued yesterday Mr Mwenda appealed to the opposition to help make Zambia a peaceful nation.
“The recent false alarm from the opposition that President Edgar Lungu had sneaked out of the country to attend to private business deals, when the President is in South Luangwa on vacation and the reported sale of ZAFFICO are maneuvers calculated to create despondency among Zambians,” he said.
He urged Zambians to guard against the desperation and insatiable appetite for power among some opposition political leaders to avoid setting the country on fire.
“We are nonetheless consoled because Zambians are able to see through these politicians who are liars,
“On one hand they will claim to care for the people, while on the other they will go full throttle giving unverified fake information to the very people they claim to care for and wish to lead one day,” he said.
Mr Mwenda also urged President Edgar Lungu to continue ignoring detractors because Zambians had seen the fruits of his leadership.
“We appeal to the President, as he has done always, to ignore these detractors as Zambians are seeing the fruits of his leadership in infrastructure development across the country,” he said.
