UBA pledges more innovations

THE United Bank of Africa (UBA) Zambia has scooped the Best Innovative Bank small medium enterprise award for 2018.

UBA was recognised during the Zambia Chamber of Commerce Industry (ZACCI) annual gala dinner, which extended various accomplishments in the private sector.

ZCCI, is the leading private sector organisation in Zambia, representing a huge network of companies from different sectors in the country.

UBA Zambia chief executive officer Emeka Dimanochie said the bank was elated for winning the prestigious recognition in the small medium enterprise category.

Mr Dimanochie said the award was a vote of the bank’s commitment in providing customers with innovative and convenient banking products and solutions.

This is contained in a statement issued by UBA head marketing and corporate communications, Wezi Njovu.

UBA East and Southern Africa chief executive officer, Emeke Iweriebor said the institution would continue offering the best services and products to customers.

“This accolade is yet another clear testament of our robust Innovation strategy, which remains a great enabler in driving growth in our business. This is in line with our vision to be the undisputed, leading and dominant financial services institution in Africa,” he said. UBA Zambia recently won the International Finance Banking Award for Best Digital Bank in Zambia.
